It has side-handles. rgd3_tex.bmp is its texture map.

Its ray is a part of the character. Its zscale has been renamed "Fire", to fire the gun.

The drum part is a nuclear particle accelerator.

In Props/Guns/Rayguns (included in this download) are these smart props for the gun:-
* The prop rgd_archstock; it is an arch shape which rests on the user's right shoulder to take some of the weight of the gun. It does not absorb recoil, because most rayguns do not make recoil. rgdstock_tex.bmp is its texture map.
* Three labels for the gun: rgd_archlabels_upper, rgd_archlabels_lower, rgd_sidelabels. rgd_archlabels_upper and rgd_archlabels_lower are texture-mapped so that the text on the texture map follows the curve around the drum. Their texture maps are in Textures/aa/guns/rgd ; make new labels for them if you want to.
* rgd_forcefield . In some renders I assumed that this gun can be set to a mode to quickly vaporise a target; this prop is the vaporizig force field; it can be zTran'ed and scaled to enclose the target, and re-textured as desired. Its outside is made of 17 concentric spheres.
